1. Set your destination and timeframe
Decide from which location you want your vehicle picked up and to which location delivered along with the timeframe, we normally recommend to set up your transport within 21 days. We always recommend giving us a 10 day window to find a suitable carrier to transport your vehicle, but we do understand you don’t always have the luxury of time, so we try to work as fast as possible for your convenience.
2. Request a quote
Send us an online request. Be aware of companies who issue automatic quotes, normally those quotes are not accurate. We take the time to analyse locations, travel patterns, weather, gas prices…etc in order to give you the most accurate quote. We may not be the lowest price, but our calculations ensure your vehicle will be picked up within your timeframe and transported by a properly licensed and insured carrier.
3. Once you agree, sign your documents electronically
Once you are ready to ship your vehicle, we send you the documents electronically for your signatures, it’s all done electronically, no need to print and scan
4. Prep your vehicle before transport
We highly recommend emptying your vehicle from all personal items and giving it a good wash, it will make it easy to notice any scratches or damages to the outside of the vehicle
5. Handing over your vehicle to the truck driver at pick up
Once the pick up time is set up, hand your vehicle to the truck driver and take 5 pictures of your vehicle (front, back, sides and top), the truck driver will do a walk around with you to notate on the Bill Of Lading any outside damage to the vehicle. Once the inspection is complete, sign the Bill Of Lading and date it. It is very important to read the information on the Bill of Lading carefully before you sign it.
6. Receiving your vehicle from the truck driver at destination
The person receiving the vehicle should follow the same process at delivery, walk around the vehicle with the driver and take 5 pictures of the vehicle (front, back, sides and top), notate any damage on the Bill Of Lading, sign and date. It is very important to read the information on the Bill of Lading carefully before you sign it.
Following those steps will ensure your vehicle is delivered safely and efficiently. As we all know accidents do happen, but in the event of an accident, we want our clients to be fully protected with enough photo evidence and paperwork evidence for a smooth insurance claim process. Commercial insurance companies tend to me more particular about details especially for commercial cargo. It is for our clients best interest to follow the 6 steps we mentioned above.
